JUNE 23, 2010: Steadepod™ Camera Stabilizer - (courtesy of GadgetGrrl.com) Don't you love it when someone invents a simple, but clever gadget that solves a big problem? The SteadePod is just such a thing, as it essentially fills the job of a tripod, but weighs way less and easily fits in your pocket. The concept: Attach the SteadePod to your camera, extend and anchor the foot pad, and pull the SteadePod to place a small amount of tension in its cable, giving you a steady hold on the camera and enabling you to take pictures in low light, action and other situations where you don't want to lug around a tripod. It's just that simple. You can also still swivel the camera when it's attached to the SteadePod, and the device weighs less than five ounces, so again, it fits right in your pocket or camera bag without being bulky or adding weight.
